Pricing

One tool, one job, one plain price

Tollgate isn't priced by how many features you unlock. There are no features to unlock — the methodology is the product, and nothing is held back behind a Tollgate paywall. You pay for the Jira users who can see it, billed through the Atlassian Marketplace like every other app you already run.

Below is how the billing works, what's included, and how to try it before you commit. If you'd rather see it against your own portfolio first, book a demo — we'll walk it live.

Billed by Atlassian · Runs entirely inside your Jira · Cancel any time

Everything is included. That's the point.

Most governance tools sell you a base plan and charge for the parts that matter. Tollgate ships one plan that carries the whole method — every part of it, working together, from day one.

The whole thing

  • Includes

  • The business case, structured — objectives, expected outcomes and payback assumptions, held as a live record you keep coming back to

  • Work packages at sponsor altitude — the unit of scope executives actually think in

  • Derived Cost, Schedule, Scope and Risk status — pulled apart into signals you can actually interrogate

  • Decision register and change log — what was approved, when, and what it has cost since

  • Investment Health per project and Portfolio Health across the book — presentation-grade surfaces you can run a steering committee straight from

  • Ask Tollgate — the scoped Rovo assistant that answers the follow-up question in the room, against current data. It runs on Atlassian Rovo, which Atlassian makes available on Jira Premium and Enterprise; every other part of the method is included on any tier

  • Governance-group access control — visible to the people answerable for the money, invisible to the delivery floor

Per-user pricing

One plan, everything included, licensed per user through the Atlassian Marketplace. Per-seat rates step down at higher seat tiers — most organisations licence a small group of decision-makers, and pricing reflects that. Final rates publish with the Marketplace listing. Free to evaluate while the listing is in review — book a demo and we'll set you up.

Same bill you already pay

Tollgate is billed by Atlassian, on your existing Atlassian bill. There's nothing separate to procure, no new supplier to onboard, no card to hand over to another company.

On your Atlassian bill

Tollgate appears as a line item on the invoice you already pay. Your existing Atlassian billing relationship covers it.

Self-serve, start to finish

Install from the Marketplace, change your plan, or cancel — all from your Atlassian admin, no sales call required to switch anything on or off.

Per active user, monthly

You're billed against your Jira user tier, monthly. Change the count and the bill follows on the next cycle.

Two ways in. Your call.

Some teams want to click around their own data first. Others want the ten-minute version from someone who's run these meetings. Both are here.

Install Tollgate from the Atlassian Marketplace and run it on your own projects. Standard Marketplace trial terms apply — free to evaluate, no commitment, billing only begins if you keep it past the trial.

You're not paying for feature count

Every PPM tool on Jira eventually competes the same way — more views, more fields, more dashboards. Forty things, adequately. Tollgate does fewer things and does the one that matters properly.

The one it does properly is this: it lets a sponsor or a steering committee ask "are we still on track for the payoff we funded?" and get a current, defensible answer — without translating from story points and velocity. Set the per-user cost of that against the cost of one multi-million-dollar investment that quietly drifts because the picture was stale, stitched together the night before, and fell apart under the first follow-up question. That's the comparison that matters. The price of the tool isn't close.

Your data stays inside Atlassian

Tollgate is a Forge app. It runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure, inside your existing Jira security and data-residency boundary. There is no Softwired server in the path, because there is no Softwired server.

Your governance data sits next to your delivery data, behind the same controls your Jira admin already manages, accessed by people who already have Jira credentials. Nothing is copied out to a third party to make Tollgate work.

Forge-native · Runs on Atlassian · Your Atlassian data-residency region · No external data processor

Straight answers

See it run before you decide

Thirty minutes against a live portfolio tells you more than any pricing table. Bring the questions your sponsor and your admin will both ask.

Read the docs first

There's no pressure on the call. If Tollgate isn't the right altitude for your team, we'll say so.
